Did you know that:
1. There were 350 games on SWAMI this year - 347 that actually counted, 4 more than in 2024, 23 more than in 2023, 27 more than in 2022, 23 more than in 2021 and 99 more than in 2020.
2. There was one (1) game not counted because of a mismatch due to a typo and two (2) because of a scheduling change!

(52.92 points per game in 2024, 50.92 points per game in 2023, 54.75 points per game in 2022, 53.82 points per game in 2021,

10. The highest point total was 105 - Louisiana beat Marshall 54-51 in Week # 5 Great defense - NOT!
11. The lowest points scored by a team was zero (0). That occurred 9 times
(8 times in 2024, 9 times in 2023, 9 times in 2022, 10 times in 2021, 6 times in 2020, 11 times in 2019, 8 times in 2018,

12. The highest points scored by a team was 70 - North Carolina beat James Madison 70-50 in Week # 4.
13. The highest point spread was 69 - BYU beat Portland State 69-0 in Week #1.
14. The lowest point spread was one (1). That occurred 12 times (15 times in 2024, 6 times in 2023, 13 times in 2022, 8 times in 2021,
10 times in 2020, 5 times in 2019, 15 times in 2018, 7 times in 2017, 19 times in 2016, 12 times in 2015, 12 times in 2014,
8 times in 2013, and 15 times in 2012).
15. The highest points scored in a loss was 51 - Marshall lost to Louisiana 54-51 in Week #5.
Can you imagine scoring over 7 touchdowns and still losing by at least a field goal?
16. The lowest points scored in a win was 13 - Nevada beat Wyoming 13-7 in Week #13.
17. The composite win/loss record for everybody in SWAMI this year was 6639 and 2631 for an average of 245.89 and 97.44 for a 71.62%
(an average of 223.55 and 105.10 for a 68.02% in 2024, 219.85 and 92.96 for 70.28% in 2023, 219.69 and 95.54 for 69.69% in 2022). (We need less junk games!!! -

18. The Leader ended with 257 wins and 90 losses for a 74.06% wins (71.14% wins in 2024, 74.69% wins in 2023, 73.75% wins in 2022,
70.37% wins in 2021, 75.4% wins in 2020, 75.2% wins in 2019, 73.3% wins in 2018, 75.9% wins in 2017, 74.1% wins in 2016, and 73.7% wins in 2015).
19. The Anti-leader with the most losses (215 wins and 132 losses) ended with a 61.96% wins (64.58% in 2024, 68.51% in 2023, 66.18% in 2022,
62.65% wins in 2021, 69.2% wins in 2020, 64.5% wins in 2019, 60.3% wins in 2018, 67.0% wins in 2017, 59.8% wins in 2016,
and 70.0% wins in 2015).
20. Random ended with 170 wins and 177 losses for a 48.99% wins (47.81% in 2024, 50.31% wins in 2023, 45.94% wins in 2022, 50.93% wins in 2021,
44.76% wins in 2020, 49.28% wins in 2019, 49.29% wins in 2018, 47.9% wins in 2017, 47.41% wins in 2016, and 48.59% wins in 2015).
21. There were a combined 5358808 total points by everyone this year (out of a possible 8424000
points) for a 63.61% success rate (62.14% in 2024, 62.14% in 2023, 60.16% in 2022, 61.36% in 2021, 58.69% in 2020, 60.71% in 2019,
58.44% in 2018, 54.75% in 2017, 52.8% in 2016, and 73.61% in 2015).
22. This year we had 23 physical entries in SWAMI with three statistical entries
(odds, average, and random).
23. There were 14 ex-SWAMI winners participating this year (including four double ex's (Phil Bowen (10/17), Paul Homer (18/24),
Bob Krakowiak (93/09) and Dan Long (16/23)), two triple ex's (Daryl Moline in 91/94/04 and Steve La Brie 11/14/15),
one quadruple ex's (Ken Smith in 81/07/10/17), and one quintuple (Del Kellogg in 93/96/01/07/17). These ex-SWAMI
winners include those defaulted to a win through the real winner not showing up to wear the turbin - thus the win goes
to the next place participant showing up. (This practice was eliminated after the administrator retired and moved out of state)
24. The largest turn-around in recorded SWAMI history occurred in 1995 by Molly
McGee when she lead Jeff Fisher (the eventual winner) by 5246 points going into
the last week and lost to Jeff by 1384 points - a 6630 point difference. Actually
this was aided by a picked tie by Jeff that garnered him 6500 points. Jeff still
lost to AVERAGE by 7930 points but AVERAGE was declared ineligible. The second
largest turn-around was by Carl Von Elm in 1982 when he lead the eventual winner
(Jack Basden) by 3355 points going into the last week and lost to Jack by 2976
points - a 6331 point difference in the last week. The third largest turn-around
was by Del Kellogg in 1989 who led Gary Ayers by 2067 points going into the last
week and lost to Gary by 2990 points - a 5057 point difference.
25. The largest position jump to win SWAMI in recorded SWAMI history was in 1995
by Jeff Fisher who moved from 22nd place going into the last week (a 3-1 odds) to
finish in 2nd place behind AVERAGE who was declared ineligible - giving Jeff the
win (both picked a tie and earned a tie (double the points) which was allowed then)!
The second largest position jump was by Kevin Switzer in 1987 who moved
from 8th place going into the last week (a 5-1 odds) to win SWAMI.
26. SWAMI-ODDS was declared ineligible to receive the following awards this year: 9th place Final Cumulative.
27. Average of Everyone was declared ineligible to receive the following awards this year: 15th place Final Cumulative.
28. Random was declared ineligible to receive the following place awards this year: 27th place Final Cumulative.
29. Since this is the 55th season for SWAMI, there was one (1) game in which one of the teams scored exactly the number
of points equalling the number for the SWAMI season (0 games in 2024, 1 game in 2023, 2 games in 2022, 2 games in 2021, 2 games in 2020,
10 games in 2019 (when we revised the number for the SWAMI season up by one to 49 seasons), 1 game in 2018 (with 47 points),
4 games in 2017 (with 46 points), 24 games in 2016 (with 45 points), 7 games in 2015 (with 44 points),
3 games in 2014 (with 43 points), 37 games in 2013 (with 42 points), 4 games in 2012 (with 41 points), 6 games in 2011 (with 40 points),
and 5 games in 2010 (with 39 points).
30. The farthest an entry was made was from Oahu, Hawaii by Ken Smith where he
claims it's paradise (he's retired, too).
31. There are approximately 16 retired people participating in SWAMI this year.
