Will of Ruth Webb

The copy & record of which Will follows in the words and figures following To Wit
In the name of God amen, I Ruth Webb of Posey Township Franklin County and state of Indiana being weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, do make and publish this my Testament and last Will in manner & form following to wit: I order and direct that my bodey receive a Christian burial and that my funeral expenses and just debts be paid out of my estate by my executor hereinafter named ---I give devise and dispose to my son Elijah Webb all my tract of land with the appurtenances belonging whereon I now dwell, to him. his heirs assigns forever. I likewise give to my son Elijah my mare and two Coverleds. I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy the Beds, Bedsteads and bedding (two coverleds excepted) all the Dresser Ware one large pot one small pot, one Skillet and a Cow. I order that my son Elijah maintain his sister Nancy as long as she lives with him unmarried. All the residue and remainder of my estate, order to be sold by my executer (and after payment of debts and funeral expenses as before excepted) of the proceeds be equally distributed between my four following named children to wit: Abel, Joseph, Ruth and Rachel
I nominate constitute and appoint my friend George Kline Executer of this my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all others, either written or verbal, by me at any time heretofore made
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of August A. D. one thousand eight hundred and twenty Seven

presence of each other have Subscribed as witnesses

Whereupon the said George Kline takes upon himself the execution
of Said Will, to whom letters Testamentary are granted by the Clerk
of the Franklin Circuit Court he having given bond and Security as
required by law to whom was administered the necessary oath to
discharge the duties of such executor according to the Will aforesaid
this 24 th day of Nov 1827 <deposition of witnesses also
