Cherished Teddies Versions
Some Cherished Teddies do not come with serial numbers. These include
the updated ornaments, musicals, and nativity pull toys (camel and donkey/sheep).
Can you distinguish different versions of these pieces? In some cases, yes.
1992 (letter) and 1993 Cherished Teddies came in "Hamilton Gifts"
boxes. The other years have "ENESCO" boxes with white or green color labels.
For example, the Nativity Camel and Donkey/Sheep versions can be distinguished
as follows:
- 1st edition: Hamilton Gifts Box (1993)
- 2nd edition: ENESCO white label box
- 3rd edition: ENESCO green label box
Most boxes starting in late 1998 are colorful and have pictures
of some of the older Cherished Teddies on them.
