Hey!
My name is Jeffrey. I am 13 years old. I live in a small desert
community called Ridgecrest, located right next to the Sierra Nevada Mountains,
in California. Musical instruments are my main hobby, and I sure
do play a number of them. I play, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophones
(alto, tenor, baritone), and I have just started violin and piano.
Out of all of them, the Alto Saxophone is my favorite. Everything
about it, its look, sound, etc. draws me to it more than the others.
That's why I mainly play it more than the others. I have also
been most successful on the Alto Saxophone more than any other.
I
have been involved in many different groups, camps, and have won some
great awards. I am in the school Concert Band, and
Jazz Band. I have also tried out for the Southern
California School Band/Orchestra Association's Band, and
didn't make it. It was an awesome experience though, and I really
learned from it. I just recently won an award
at a Music Showcase Festival at Knotts Berry Farm,
for an "Outstanding Soloist." That was great! I attended Camp
Arrowbear two years ago, and will be attending again this
summer.
I
have a 3.6 G.P.A. Some of my other interests
are hanging out with friends, surfing the Net, and
water skiing in the summer, though music is my main
interest. I practice at a average of 840 minutes a week, maybe more.
I am very committed to what I do, and I even plan on becoming
a music teacher. Mrs. Morrison
(my music teacher) is the reason I want to become a
music teacher. She has made a tremendous impact on my life, and I want
to do the same for others. She is truly
an outstanding person, teacher, and musician. I will
remember her ALWAYS! Thanks Mrs. Morrison!
