Ridgecrest Area Independent Live Steamers (RAILS) is a non-club of independent (very heavy on the independent) men and women who have a deep interest and respect for large-scale railroading. RAILS is very involved in building the SBSLRR. "Meetings" come in the form of lunches, with subjects ranging from trains (of course) to politics (NO, NO). A lot of good ideas for building the SBSLRR track have come from RAILS.
